This module concentrates on strategic planning and management of information systems. It guides the candidate through the development of a corporate wide information strategy plan which integrates different activities within a corporation. It introduces the concept of Business Process Re-engineering (BPR) and some modelling techniques for BPR. It investigates some of the issues faced by IT departments in the construction industry, including software and hardware selection and management of change due to the introduction of IT.
