Preparatory Week (3 days)	The preparatory week includes: introduction to the MSc course, computer developments and terminology, operating systems and workshops.
Module 1: Technologies and Systems (6 weeks)	This module covers computer hardware and architecture, communications and networking, multimedia, Internet, general software life cycle and development, and information systems modelling.
Module 2: Databases, CAD and Visualisation (6 weeks)	This module covers principles of databases, relational databases, integrated databases, Express-G, CAD databases, integration, animation and virtual reality.
Module 3: Advanced Software Technologies and Techniques (6 weeks)	This module covers intelligent systems, knowledge elicitation, knowledge engineering, rule based systems, case based reasoning, neural networks, intelligent buildings, and object oriented environments and technology.
Module 4: IT Management and Strategies (6 weeks)	This module covers strategic planning, information strategy planning, business modelling and re-engineering, personnel management, software selection techniques, software quality, European legislation, and management of change.
